very nice room we were allocated one away from a party so no noise which was appreciated. Food as always was very good great choice at breakfast. This is our go to hotel when in the area.
can't think of anything we did not like.

The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and nicely furnished.
We are regular visitors to Yorkshire and there are a number of hotels that we return to time and time again. First impressions of the Red Lion were good and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Im afraid that an incident occurred that spoiled this first impression. We ordered dinner on the second night of our stay but there was a mix up with our food order. We were shocked and upset that a member of the bar staff told us very rudely that we had been given what we had ordered. This spoiled what would have been a pleasant stay.
