Bishopstrow Hotel and Spa - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Lovely hotel in fabulous grounds. Great outdoor heated pool with outside sauna and sunbeds. The hotel itself is really homely and friendly. Lovely relaxation lounges with sofas and custom fire places. The rooms were really nice, spacious and clean and really quiet. Cozy beds fit a great sleep. We are at the restaurant one evening and it was lovely! They also have their own kitchen garden so really fresh produce. Breakfast was delicious, great choice and excellent poached eggs. Staff were really friendly and professional. Really lovely place to stay and relax. Close to Salisbury, Bath, Longleat, Stonehenge so loads out and about. It’s also a spa hotel, so can be as relaxing as you like. The indoor pool was being completed while we were there so can’t comment on that. I will say though, the work going on did not affect our stay at all even though it was quite inconvenient for the staff with some of the work around they had to put in place.

Nothing, it is a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings.

External Spa facilities were better than envisaged/photographed. The main house was finished to very high standard (current renovation works aside). The grounds were fantastic.

Some of the furniture in the room was a little tired. The lighting above the bed was very harsh and direct. An extra surface or side table in the room would have been useful.

Loved our room with the hot tub. Dinner was excellent. The Spa garden was the highlight.

The spa treatments were mediocre. Breakfast was so-so. The bathroom in our room had a sheer blind and people going in and out of the spa had a partial view of it after dark. Also, the hot tub patio could be a little more private. We saw people walking around.

The new pool was very nice

There wasn’t much not to like. Just the room was disappointing
