Breakfast on Saturday morning was excellent as well as the service. However, Sunday morning was not as good with a buffet style breakfast, only fried eggs available and no black pudding for my wife which she particularly enjoys. Silly things that caused a delay on the Sunday was the milk being in a very small jug on the buffet table when it should have been a larger one for the number of people at breakfast. The person who served on the Sunday was not as friendly and attentive as the person on Saturday who was excellent.
A rather curt phone call at 10.35am on Sunday from reception reminding us that check out was 10.30am and cleaning staff were wanting to get in our room and how much longer would we be ! This is not a customer driven approach to guests which was unnecessary in the way that it was handled

Lovely hotel and the grounds were beautiful. Nice food and rooms were generously proportioned, but we did pay for the larger room. Parking on site.
It was very quiet and there was only us and one other table in the restaurant for the evening. Felt quite soulless. The room was very hot, but they did provide a fan to help with this.

Location and beautiful building. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms were old and felt grubby. Toilet was stained, bed was uncomfortable. Restaurant was fully booked so we had to go out to eat. Breakfast was very limited for a buffet style - butter pat and 2 mini pots of jam and 1 Nutella were allocated to each table as if rationed.
