The location is superb. Great food and lovely staff.

8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026

Location is fantastic, food is also really nice with a good choice. Have had many good stays here.

Although we have had many stays at the Royal Lodge the decor & general shabby, old feel lets it down.

Its location

6 / 10Average·Oct 2026

Location beside river and close to some nice walks was nice. They also had quite a few beers to choose from at the bar.

The bed wasn't great. The bathroom was small. The food was overpriced. It was all a bit dated and average.
