Convenient to the township, clean & tidy with everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Very comfortable beds, adequate pillows, & we could regulate the temperature.
It's great this cabin has also been made to accommodate wheelchairs.
The stairs need some form of nightlight - my sister fell down the bottom section going to the loo in the middle of the night. Gave us a heart attack thinking she'd need an ambulance.
Also, the bathroom hasn't a single hook anywhere or anything to place clothes on.
The shower, when it was my turn flooded the WHOLE bathroom floor, soaking all my clothes & toiletries bag.

We had a wonderful stay at the School House at Gaol House Cottages in Bicheno! The accommodation was charming, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The cottage had a lovely character and a welcoming atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Tasmania’s beautiful East Coast. The facilities were well thought out, and we really appreciated the comfort and convenience the property offered.
A big thanks to Jo for the lovely hospitality and for making our stay so pleasant.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend Gaol House Cottages to anyone visiting Bicheno or travelling along Tasmania’s East Coast.

The location was good
The property was old and very tired. The bathroom was smaller than our caravan’s en-suite! The electric blanket didn’t work on one side. Generally a dark and gloomy property not at all worth the money charged!
