Arcoona Manor

A lovely warm welcome from Maria to this grand character home was just the start of a wonderful stay. This is a true gem, tucked away from the road and set in magnificent gardens complete with rabbits and chooks roaming around. Our room was spacious, well appointed and comfortable, as was the second room, and there was a lovely clawfoot bath in the bathroom in addition to a shower. It was nice to be able to make ourselves feel at home with access to an array of teas, coffee, biscuits, and various snacks. Maria also went to great trouble to make sure there were plenty of options for the coeliac in our group, including providing gluten free Oreos and choc chip cookies. Breakfast was delicious, again with various options. Furthermore, Maria was very helpful in letting us know which restaurants and pubs in town were the best for providing gluten free meals. We thoroughly enjoyed the platypus tour she told us about, despite the rain! Overall I'm sorry we couldn't have stayed longer in this gorgeous place.

Nothing to report

The manor house and grounds are beautiful and Maria is extremely accommodating. It was like stepping back in time with all the antique furnishings and finer touches. Our delicious breakfast topped off a fabulous stay.
