Hotel Sonderborg Garni feels more like an authentic 20th century bed and breakfast property, where the proprietors run their business in a cozy and intimate home and take very good, personalized care of their guests. I liked that the hotel was located in a residential area of Sonderborg that is within walking distance of several historic landmarks, supermarkets, and restaurants. The room I stayed in was clean, cozy and I was offered tea when checking in to the property. I also enjoyed a delicious Danish breakfast and felt that staying here was a cultural experience in itself - by staying here in Sonderborg, I got a taste of what it is like to life in an authentic Danish community :)

No dislikes :)

The breakfast was very good and the member of staff who was there throughout our stay was excellent.

The bathroom and shower were absolutely tiny - the smallest I've ever seen in a hotel!

The location excellent and the the style of the hotel (house) was pleasantly old fashion. Walking distance to the town center.

Nothing really

The breakfast was average, but not appropriate for the price.

The hotel needs repairs in all areas, (especially in bathrooms) a complete renovation in decor (broken furniture, ripped wallpaper)and a good deep cleaning.
