Great location in Sydney and an awesome social vibe. The staff reception was super friendly and helpful, and the outdoor courtyard is a great spot to chill and meet other travelers.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the fact that they hand you your own crockery and cutlery when you arrive keeps the kitchen clean and tidy too. The courtyard was a nice space and the room was comfortable, with curtains for privacy. When I asked for a extra blanket they were also very amenable. Bathrooms were decent with shampoo and soap provided. The location is great too, you can be in the centre in 20 minutes walking and nice neighbourhoods around.
It was quite loud at times, but the staff did tell people to move or quieten late at night.

The place was great, incredible location just a few steps from king's cross station. Staff was amazingly friendly and the hostel is full of friendly people coming from all over the world. I would 100% recommend to stay at this place.
Overall, my stay at Original Backpackers was a great experience. Although the surrounding area can become a bit hectic at night due to the nearby clubs, pubs, and restaurants, I loved going out and seeing how alive the Kings Cross nightlife becomes.

Good location at Kings Cross.
Free dinner on specific days...if you're right on time.
Great for backpackers.
No parking options nearby, we had to pay 81AUD for one night in a recommended car park.
Breakfast was just toast & sweet spread.
No guest conpliance with the rules...it was very loud and they were smoking weed everywhere and among all others, which was really annoying. We won't come back, but recognise that this a housing for very young people, who might behave like this.
Despite all warnings & signage no one enforced the rules.
