The hotel was basic..our room was comfortable, and warm.
Breakfast nextdoor at the malthouse was good
The stairs to the room were grubby, carpet worn.
The shower in the bath was hand held..so a bit tricky..the bath took forever to run..

Great stay this weekend. We normally stay at The Malthouse, but gave the Swan a try. The Bedroom was lovely and comfortable, the bed was SO comfy!!! Breakfast is served at The Malthouse next door, which is always lovely. We ate in The Swan on Saturday and the food was great. Charlie was around all weekend and couldn't do enough for us, what a lovely lady.
The water for the bath could have been hotter...... but didn't spoil anything.

Room was very spacious and perfect for a one night stay for Oktober Fest a few doors down from the Malthouse. Evening entertainment at the Sawn Taphouse was really good

We had to go to the Malthouse down the road for breakfast. Very limited serial choices but porridge was on the menu and the cooked breakfasts were excellent. Had to pay extra for decent coffee did not see any toast.
There was no proper shower attachment, just a hose over the bath. The water was not very hot so a bath was not possible without boiling several kettles of water.! we only stayed for one night which was okay but there were no drawers to put any of our stuff in, just a small wardrobe., so we had to live out of our bag. No towel rail in bathroom.
We had a nice meal there
in the evening and there was some live music on so we enjoyed our stay
