The location is great. Right in the middle of Fort William.
We were lucky enough to stay in the front corner room offering amazing panoramic views over Loch Linnhe.
Staff were all very helpful and informative.
Wee bar is cozy and offers a great, affordable range of food and drinks. Breakfast was lovely.
The reception area is very comfortable and available to sit in if needed.
There's also a small car park beside the hotel which always helps. It can fill up quickly.
We stayed during storm boelo and sadly that highlighted a few issues that wouldn't have appeared otherwise.
The windows aren't double glazed, instead, the old single glazed windows are still there with thin sliding windows behind to give a sense of double glazing. One of the old windows wouldn't close properly and the wind howled in all evening. Also the hard to reach bathroom window wouldn't shut. That also let the strong wind in. It was so windy that the exterior hotel sign that was directly above the bedroom blew off the wall at 5am!!
The radiator in the room didn't work so we had to rely on the supplied electric heater to stay warm.
Small issues with overall cleanliness of the room and bathroom but not enough to put us off.
As I previously said, the storm overnight highlighted some issues and we're aware they wouldn't apply year round.

Good location in centre.
Comfortable, cosy room with a bath which was what I was looking for after finishing west highland way hike. Quite old fashioned style, but I quite like this.

No elevator in the building; difficult to negotiate the winding stairs with luggage,
