About this cottage rental
The whimsical little cottage has a spectacular view of the private beach, the woods and sunrises. Starting right at your front door are scenic cycling trails along Lake Michigan, the State Park and the Wisconsin countryside. Just minutes away are several world-class championship golf courses, charter fishing boats and Road America.
The cottage has a quiet, peaceful setting on three acres of woods and a private beach. The only neighbors that are close by are the owners of the cottage, which gives it great appeal for those who value both service and their privacy. The main house and the cottage share a driveway. Your privacy is assured.
The cottage is ideal for two people. When there is a full moon, it is breathtaking and you will have a front row seat. Your balcony also provides magnificent sunrises.

Accommodations include a living room with sliding doors that lead to a balcony deck, fireplace, sofa sleeper, and stained glass windows. The large bedroom is air-conditioned and has two queen beds with premier mattresses and beautiful linens, down comforters, and quilts. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies. There are three decks and a gas grill. Washer, dryer, TV and complimentary WIFI also included.
The beach is a private, sandy area that is perfect for stand-up paddle boarding, flying kites, kayaking, swimming and riding the waves on a boogie board. You can build sand castles, have a beach bonfire under the stars or hike down the beach to the State Park. You can stroll the beach , enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace, watch a magnificent sunrise, collect your thoughts and just RELAX!
Bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, kites, beach chairs and firewood are all provided!

It was a delight to stay at Seagull Beach for a multitude of reasons: it was exceptionally clean and well cared for - including the the bedding /furnishings, etc. The indoor gas fireplace was super handy as we had a cold spell. The decor has been thoughtfully curated to create a beach vibe that balances nostalgia and whimsy with the most glorious original pieces of art. Too many amenities to mention! From the balcony there is an ever present hypnotizing melody of waves making their way to shore accompanied by the chatter of sea gulls. Pelicans apparently also appreciate the vibe as they seemed to have extended their migration pattern to chill a few extra weeks and could be seen swimming back and forth, as if on a loop all day. While enjoying the deck (overlooking the beach) and the outdoor firepit, we spotted monarchs playing in the purple cat nip, a mother fox carrying a chipmunk back to her den, three deer trotting along that came to halt and chose to munch on some grass just below us. We also saw the younger foxes chasing each other and playing about and a couple of them found their way into some of our photos without our awareness - we were trying to capture the sunrise, they were hydrating. Marcy was warm and kind and readily available if needed, and also created space to ensure privacy. In fact, I found myself wanting to share a beverage with her to learn more about her art collection... but alas that will have to wait until my next visit.

Beautiful property right on the Lake, surrounded by woods. You can see and hear the waves through the screen door to the patio - like living in a beach side treehouse! Cottage was extremely well-appointed and decorated beyond expectations - so many cute beach details everywhere you look. Beds were comfortable and cottage gave a very relaxed and user-friendly vibe. Host Marcy was kind and friendly, and we enjoyed our time immensely!

The cottage was wonderful. Marcy was the perfect host. Her sense of decoration for a seaside cottage was so much fun and whimsical. We loved the accessibility to the beach and the sound of the waves even though it was too cold to totally appreciate the ambiance. Hope to be back when the weather improves
