Het betreft hier een oud familiehotel wat al heel lang van vader op zoon wordt doorgegeven. Binnen lijkt de tijd stil te hebben gestaan; de inrichting dateert voor een groot deel uit de middeleeuwen. De herbergier was bijzonder aardig, spreekt overwegend Spaans, gecombineerd met wat Engels, en doet erg zijn best om het aangenaam voor je te maken. Op het terras zit je fijn onder grote parasols. Onze kamer was heel basic; maar fris en schoon. De bedden waren prima en de airco werkte ook goed. De honderden jaren oude originele, zwaar uitgevoerde deuren, sloten en kast functioneerden nog steeds goed. Het aangenaam geprijsde diner was uitstekend en de ossenhaas zeer mals, zoals het hoort. Tijdens ons verblijf viel het niet mee om een parkeerplek te krijgen, direct voor of naast het hotel. Uiteindelijk lukte dat wel, maar eventueel kun je 100 meter verderop je auto kwijt op een groot plein waar je onbetaald kunt parkeren; er is daar plaats genoeg.
