Convenient, comfortable. Lovely on-suite bathroom. Relaxed and enjoyable bistro and garden bar. Helpful staff.
Because the room is not airconditioned and the weather very warm, I opened the window for airflow, but many moths and gnats came in. A fly screen would be a useful addition.
Also office hours a bit short and not open weekends.

Good food and great staff and atmosphere make up for the aging hotels shortcomings. If you want five star luxury forget it, but you’ll have a five star experience to talk about .
I could handle the sound of the trains going by, but the airhorn warning blast sure gets your attention.

Everything! Right near the train station, loved the rooms, the bathrooms are clean, beautiful fireplace. Staff went above and beyond to have us included in the Xmas in July function.

The paint colour
No TV, no radio, no storage for more than one bag, no fridge, no aircon (just a $10 KMart pedestal fan), bed just fit in the room, could barely fit in the ensuite and couldn't fully turn around in the shower.
