Very interesting location and history of the building. The room was clean and comfortable, plenty of easy parking, easy walk to town.
I'm glad it hasn't been turned into a generic hotel with fancy bathrooms etc, but it could do with some maintenance to the window coverings.

Exactly what we thought it would be. Great location to Asylum and stepping back in time. The king bed was comfy enough.
Definitely needs more airing out between guests. The single sofa bed was on a terrible lean and uncomfortable. New fly screens.

It was a nice surprise that the accomodation was connected to the old Asylum- beautiful gardens in bloom, amazing elegant buildings. We had a meal and cocktails at the restaurant -just a short walk from the accomodation- that was next level. Great service.
We were blown away by everything. No complaints

The architecture and heritage garden attracted me to the hotel- well they get a tick.
The sullen staff and sad interior was a major disappointment.
But given the cost of accommodation in Beechworth, what so I expect for $140
The Hotel has so much potential
