We really enjoyed our stay at the InterContinental Escazú. The pool area was wonderful, with two beautiful pools — one warm and one cooler — and a jacuzzi that was lovely and hot. There weren't too many people around, so it felt peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, with a fantastic selection of fresh fruits, savoury dishes and plenty of options to choose from.
A couple of things were disappointing, particularly for a hotel of this standard. There were no slippers or bathrobes in the room, and although we requested them in person at reception, they never arrived. There was also no hairdryer in the room, which we only discovered as we were getting ready to leave. A little more attention to the room amenities and guest requests would have made the experience even better.

Restaurant service at the Market is not great, should have more staff for the size and capacity of the place. First night we waited about 40 minutes for soup and ceviche

Almost everything about this place is really nice.
We were upgraded to a room that had an issue. They resolved it but I really had to advocate for myself and escalate.

It depends, if it’s work or pleasure
It was dirty
Had to call maintenance many times, sir didn’t work, tub always closed so shower was a mess and always full of water
The receptionist team sucks
