Wellesley Resort Fiji

The food and level of service from the staff and William the chef, in particular was exemplary. The menu was varied and each meal was presented delightfully and we thoroughly enjoyed it. All the staff were welcoming, helpful and polite and attentive to all our needs during our stay. The resort has access to a beautiful beach and the gardens are beautifully maintained.

The accomodation requires some upgrading and refurbishment. The access road down is a bit steep and rocky!

The location is wonderful - right on the beach. The food was great. The staff were incredible (Veti, William, Mary, Ema, Teeks and the gardner in particular)

The owners need to put some more money into the property. The facilities were average. There should be tv’s in every room. There should be cooking appliances such as microwaves/stoves and plates/bowls/cutlery. If it wasn’t for the incredible staff I would’ve rated this accomodation lower.

Everything. It was the perfect balance of size, vs comfort, beach and pool.

Staff at Wellesey were very nice and friendly. The food was actually good and comparable if not cheaper in price to larger resorts. Beautiful, lush, tropical grounds. Beach is very close and on a nice day, would be stunning. We were one of the lucky ones that had internet in our rooms, which was life saving when nothing else to do. Continental breakfast was delicious with pastries and fresh friut. Main pool well maintained

Why are there so many good reviews? It is not a 'resort', yet you're paying those sort of prices. - For the price, rooms are dated and bathrooms poor. We booked for a 4 nights stay and left after the third night, only then was housekeeping offered. - There is NOTHING to do when it is poor weather. Beach is incredibly tidal and when raining, you go stir crazy. Walked down beach to Crusoe's Retreat to get a drink and change of scenery. Nearest 'shops' (which is only a diner and supermarket, is 30 minutes away) - We were the only people staying one night which felt eeire. Staff asked to serve us our dinner in our room so they didn't have to serve us in restaurent. - You have to book dinner is advance. Never in my life have I been to a resort and been asked to book my meal 4 hours out - Road to access Wellesey needs serious work and maintenance. - In our three nights, two power cuts. I think this is a common things but they say 'just going to get generator'... - Private pools are dirty. Bugs on top with a filter that is very questionable whether it works or not.
