Location was excellent. It was 4 minutes away from Ikebukuro station, a 7-11 was directly across the street, surrounded by a ton of shopping, dining and entertainment options, and the room was very clean.
It would have been nice if YouTube was available on the TV rather than just basic Japanese television. There were a lot of dead channels when we were TV surfing and the TV model was quite dated. There could have been better lighting, was either too bright or too dark. Could use an update to install dimmers.

Close to a main station
The mattress was a little uncomfortable..very hard to lay on and the whole space is a bit cramped for a family of 5. Staff were good considering we checked in at 1:30am. The location is very easy to get to close to a main shopping centre

- location
- big rooms
We were disappointed with the customer service during our stay. We had specifically requested a quieter room away from the street side in advance, but the request was not accommodated and we were assigned a corner room facing the street.
When we asked about this politely at the front desk (dark-skinned non-japanese female staff), the interaction became uncomfortable and that employee responded with: “This is not China, but Japan.” We found this comment inappropriate and unnecessary.
The hotel itself may be acceptable, but the way our concerns were handled left a negative impression.
