DID'NT STAY, as they double booked us! 8 hour drive to be told, sorry!

I booked though booking.com, I received several emails from booking.com with the confirmation. They took my payment. I received one email from splash asking for my email because booking.com didn't provide them with it. I provided my email and said how excited we were to stay, they didn't respond. Then, I emailed them the same morning of us driving 8 hours to get there, no response. I emailed them an hour before the arrival, no response. Again I had several emails from booking.com saying confirmed and today is the day, etc. But no response from the host. I thought maybe they don't give the instructions until right before as people might try to access the property early. We arrive and go to check in, the check in says we should have received an email from the host. We didn't!! We called the host serval times upon arrival and had to leave messages. Then we finally get through to someone and they say the condo was double booked and sorry the other people are here already so we cant accommodate you. Again, we just drove 8 hours to get there. So, booking.com says we will try to reach out to the host and see if they can accommodate you and we will contact you in 30-45 minutes. After 45 minutes I check my email to see an email from booking.com that said sorry, the host cant accommodate you, you will need to find another place to go and we will refund you in 7-12 business days!! Absolutely horrible experience. I don't know if this was a booking.com error or splash error. But it was a horrible experience.

There’s pros and cons to everything! We’re thankful and would revisit!

Parking was easy. Check in was simple and unlocking our door with the passcode was smooth. The spaciousness of the condo was great and we loved the view! Anything essential that we needed was provided.

The bed in the bedroom was not comfortable. We didn’t sleep the greatest (but were thankful). There were animal crackers left from the guest before us. As well as sand on the couch.

Parking was easy. Check in was simple and unlocking our door with the passcode was smooth. The spaciousness of the condo was great and we loved the view! Anything essential that we needed was provided.

The bed in the bedroom was not comfortable. We didn’t sleep the greatest (but were thankful). There were animal crackers left from the guest before us. As well as sand on the couch.
