The view from the room was gorgeous. One opened up to a view of the entire front yard with its beautiful trees; the other opened up to the river. The area was super quiet and peaceful.
The service was also great. The lady who welcomed us was friendly and greeted us whenever we left/returned.

This ryokan was so good to stay in, the room was very clean and comfortable, with traditional layout and furniture. The host (Yukari, hope name is spelt correctly) is the most helpful and generous person, she arranged an evening canal punt cruise and in her own car drove us to the departure point. The ryokan is in a very central location, 5 minutes walk to the train station, very near large supermarket and numerous restaurants. The ryokan is in a very quiet neighbourhood and is a delightful place to stay. I would recommend this ryokan as very good value for money, very comfortable rooms and very friendly staff who welcome you the accommodation. We loved it. The breakfast provided was excellent and a pleasure to eat.
I think the place is perfect the way it is.

The hospitality was impeccable ! The food was very yummy!! I would also like to think that they bought peanut butter and jelly just to make sure to accommodate my husband’s and son’s “particular taste” with food. It was very much appreciated! It was very clean and we were very comfortable and felt welcome. The place is also walking distance to the river. I wish I had ask for her name the lady that welcomed us was very warm and my kids were given origami upon check out. If given another chance to visit Yanagawa again, we’ll be sure to stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is decent. Stone throw away from Yanagawa canal. excellent location.
the private bathroom in the room is very old. they need to renovate the place so as to make it more liveable for guests.
