Beautifully kept, lovely floral arrangements and stylish comfortable rooms. The Level Lounge is a superb area again lovely decor, attentive staff and breakfast was scrumptious with so much choice.
Everything was pretty much perfect though as I came in late I missed out on food as the 24/7 room service menu was limited, could I suggest you add soup and a roll as a light alternative as Caesar salad in winter was only healthy option but minor point!

The staff were excellent we had a leak in the shower ceiling and they attended to it straight away

Great location for our event.
Room was pokey, very noisy (zero sound-proofing) with an impossible to temperature regulate shower that leaked all over the floor (obviously a historical problem as part of the door frame had rotted so badly it had been replaced).
Shockingly bad lighting in the tiny shower room, no magnifying mirror.
Service was mixed. Main reception was lovely with a charming Australian man but we were actually, because we’d booked an expensive room, led to the ‘five star experience’ at ‘The Level’ reception where the woman who checked us in was very surly. It really doesn’t matter if there is free cheap Cava on offer if the receptionist treats you like a pain, having a chat with other staff members before turning her attention to us.
Five star experience? Definitely not.
