Our stay was very disappointing and did not meet expectations, especially considering the high price. The property was p

The only positive aspect of the stay was the beautiful view from the window.

We rented this hytte for the New Year holidays and paid almost 10,000 NOK for three nights. Unfortunately, the condition of the property did not correspond to the price or the description on Booking. Upon arrival, the cleanliness was unacceptable. All dishes were extremely dirty, including plates, cutlery, and especially glasses. We had to wash everything ourselves just to be able to have dinner, which was unpleasant and unhygienic. The bathroom and toilet were dirty, the shampoo/soap holder was broken, and there was a strong and unpleasant sewage smell that significantly affected comfort and hygiene. The bed mattress was stained, and the pillows were also dirty. The property was very dusty: a vase on the table was completely covered in dust, and the table, TV, sofa, and floors were dirty, clearly indicating that proper cleaning had not been done before our arrival. The area around the sofa was so unclean that it was uncomfortable even to sit there. We also had an issue with the terrace lighting. We called the provided phone number and were told to send a message if we managed to check it ourselves. We sent a message but never received any response. As a result, instead of enjoying our holiday, we had to spend time cleaning the property to bring it to a minimally acceptable condition. Overall, this stay was very disappointing and not worth the price paid. I would not recommend this property unless cleanliness and maintenance are significantly improved.

Pleasant

Spacious cabin close to a lake. 4 bedrooms. Stranda is an amazing place to explore Norwegian fjords and mountains, so we had a fantastic week there.

The cabin is more shabby than it looks in the pictures, it was not properly cleaned when we arrived, so we needed to clean ourselves and also pay 1290kr cleaning fee at the end of stay, Kitchen area needs some attention - the lights over the oven were not working and the frying pans were very old and scrapped, and even though we contacted property the first day, lights were never fixed, and the new pan arrived on our departure date. Nothing of this would matter much, if the price was not of a luxury cabin, which this cabin is not. If you hold the expectations low, this is an ok place!
