The view was spectacular, room was exactly as shown in the pictures, breakfast was very tasty, large buffet choice and open until 10:30 for lazy mornings. The restaurant is open to all in the evening so be sure to book early especially at weekends, exceptional food and the view in the evening is lovely.

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Casa Margot. It certainly has one of the best views in Fethiye, and you would struggle to top it because of where it is situated. The fact that it’s positioned at the top of a very steep hill (which we walked up multiple times with no issue, but we are sporty, so beware if you have mobility concerns or don’t want to pay for taxis all week) is exactly why you get those breathtaking views from the room. However, you will need to pay a premium for the full ocean view. In our opinion, there’s no point staying at this hotel if you don’t have the full sea view. I’m not sure what the other rooms have to offer, but the hotel itself isn’t enough to justify the stay without the premium room.
Housekeeping were amazing. They changed our bedding multiple times and cleaned our room beautifully throughout our week-long stay. We were always well stocked, and we found the room comfortable. The bed was great, and we slept very well.
When we arrived, we were obviously pretty exhausted from travelling all day, and after a little nap, we woke up very hungry. The hotel advertised its restaurant as a great option, and we thought that would be perfect for our first night. We could just go upstairs and eat at the hotel. We went to ask at reception what time dinner was served, only to be informed, with a shrug, that the restaurant was closed and wouldn’t be open for the duration of our stay. We understand that it was October and out of season, but it would have been nice to be informed of this when we booked, or failing that, at least when we checked in, so we could have prepared ourselves. We were in a new country, in a new town, and had to find somewhere to eat in the dark whilst very hungry! It wasn’t a great first impression.
Next point: unfortunately, the hot tub was clearly not being disinfected and cleaned properly between guests. To be honest, I would question whether it was being cleaned at all. This isn’t a housekeeping issue; it’s a maintenance one. Someone needs to be tasked with thoroughly servicing and cleaning the hot tubs after every single changeover. In England, there are strict rules around this, and rightly so.
We noticed that whenever we turned the jets on, green, oily scum would collect on the surface of the water, accompanied by a mouldy smell. We chose that room and paid extra for the hot tub overlooking the bay, which should have been such a treat. Unfortunately, we had to leave the jets off to avoid sitting in scummy water. I googled what this could be, and what I found really turned our stomachs and put a bit of a dampener on our stay. It’s something that could easily be avoided, and having read other reviews, it’s clearly an issue that keeps coming up. I’m unsure why it continues to be overlooked. Not ideal at all.
Another thing to bear in mind is that if you visit outside of peak season, you’re unlikely to get much use out of the pool.
