Great little place just off main road so nice and quite but only 5 mins walk to the action of pub street. Mr Lucky was the glue that stuck this place together. He was very friendly and knew how to help where needed, orginised all our transfers at a very fair price. Alao beer was very cold

Tucked down a quiet lane just off Siem Reap's busy center, this hotel offers a peaceful night's sleep while keeping everything you need within easy reach. Restaurants and shops are only a few minutes' walk away, and although there's no convenience store nearby, the supermarket right across the street has water and cold beer. A short stroll further brings you to Angkor Market III, where you can pick up souvenirs and just about anything else, and there's even a Burger King close by for when you're craving something familiar.
The rooms are generously sized, with the facilities and furnishings you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. There's a touch of age here and there, but it only adds to the relaxed, lived-in charm. What truly makes this place special, though, is the staff. Every time I passed them, they asked if there was anything they could do for me, and their attentiveness always felt warm and sincere rather than scripted.
Breakfast was another highlight. Rather than a buffet, you choose from a small menu of freshly cooked dishes, and the fried rice I ordered was, to my genuine surprise, the best I had anywhere in Siem Reap. The hotel can also arrange tours of every kind, from the Small and Grand Circuits to city tours, so just mention it at the front desk and they'll take care of the rest. All in all, a comfortable, friendly, and well-located base for exploring Siem Reap, and I'd happily stay again.
Just a couple of small things worth knowing. There's no elevator, and since reception is on the ground floor with the rooms starting one level up, you'll need to take the stairs. My room, 109, also faced a side where frogs sang in the evenings, likely because of the rainy season. It didn't bother me in the slightest and even felt like part of the local atmosphere, but light sleepers may want to keep it in mind.

We had a wonderful stay at Monthara Angkor Residence. The hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our visit.
A special thank you to Mr. Lucky, who was incredibly helpful during our stay. He assisted us with tour information, arranged our airport pickup and drop-off, and made everything much easier and more convenient for us. His helpful attitude and excellent service really made a difference.
We would also like to thank Mr. Lucky’s team for their warm hospitality and great service. Everyone was kind, professional, and always willing to help.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to recommend Monthara Angkor Residence to anyone visiting Siem Reap.

The location is quite close to the old quarter and night market, within a walking distance
The room is quite spacious
The staff is inflexible and rude
There is no lift so you have to carry luggages through the stairs. Breakfast is small. The pool is also small.
Be mindful if you have a car since the hotel is in an alley, not a big road
The room is clean but the facility shows signs of poor maintenance and will downgrade soon
