This lovely villa is a short drive out of town in a quiet neighbourhood, full of pines, olive trees and oleanders. A splendid gate opens onto a drive, ending in a shady carport, a blessing in hot weather.
Our apartment, full of character and part of the big house, was very comfortable, with a cosy bedroom upstairs and the living room and bathroom below. Our kitchen was fully equipped and immaculate, with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. We had our own shaded courtyard with tables and chairs, very serene and relaxing.
Our host met us on arrival and was incredibly helpful and welcoming. She gave us a well-organised information folder which was so helpful as we were new to the area. After a long drive south, we simply loved relaxing by the elegant swimming pool and soaking up the sun. The privacy and peace of the beautiful garden and pool make this Villa a perfect retreat, but with the splendid old city of Aix only 10 minutes away.
An en suite bathroom would really help.

Das Cottage liegt auf einem wunderschönen Grundstück mit Kiesauffahrt und automatischem Tor. Für die Gäste der drei Cottages sind überdachte Parkplätze auf dem Grundstück vorhanden. Die Gastgeberin Gisèle ist sehr nett und hat alles gut erklärt. Unser Cottage hatte alle erforderliche Ausstattung. Das Schlafzimmer liegt im Obergeschoss und ist über eine eiserne Treppe zu erreichen. Das ist nur beachtenswert insofern, ältere Leute oder gehbehindert Menschen den Aufenthalt ins Auge fassen. Es ist eine sehr ruhige und angenehme Lage, es gibt Mückenfenster für Bad und Schlafzimmer.
Wir hatten die Unterkunft für den Besuch von Aix-en-Provence usw. gebucht, Aix ist ca. zehn Minuten mit den Auto entfernt. Arles, Nimes, die Carmargue und Avignon sind in ca. jeweils einer Stunde zu erreichen, wir haben von dort aus alles besucht. Es gibt fußläufig ein gutes Restaurant (knapp zehn Minuten). Und in ca. fünfzehn Minuten Autoentfernung findet man einen netten Supermarkt.

The pool was nice and refreshing
Unfortunately we stayed during a heatwave. It was unbearably hot and simply impossible to sleep upstairs under the roof. Mosquito infested and no nets to keep them out anywhere not even in the small windows upstairs. Eventually we rented a hotel room with Air-conditioning in a hotel nearby and commuted a bit between the two. The host kept repeating that she couldn't help or provide any solution other than let the cold in at night (and the mosquitos?) and close the house during the day. But not once did she suggest any of the hotels nearby. I have traveled quite a bit and believe the host needs to be more guest oriented. It's not only about the money. Considering heat waves will repeat more frequent the place simply needs some air-co unit or an emergency arrangement with hotels in the area.
