We had a wonderful stay at Tenuta Montanello. The location is peaceful, the scenery is beautiful and the hosts made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The accommodation was authentic, comfortable and exactly as expected. The breakfast was delicious with self made cakes and tasty cheeses. An excellent base for exploring the beauty, food, and wine culture of the Langhe region.

We stayed here 3 nights and as we left I thought to myself that a month wouldn’t even be long enough. This is a working vineyard and we visiting during harvest and got to see and smell the harvest action. This place is a true gem. The room (apartment unit) was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lots of windows. Beautiful old building. The views—as all guests mention—are unbelievably beautiful. The location could not be any better. Right in the center of Barolo commune with an easy drive to any of the 11 towns of Barolo in 5-10 minutes. The pool was a beautiful touch. And breakfast was a leisurely and relaxing experience out on the lawn with 360 views. Excellent value.

The most beautiful setting. Clean, large rooms. Amazing staff.

Location, great views
The unit was not as we expected. The beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom is in dire need of a renovation. Also, we were expecting a washer/dryer in the unit since it was listed in the description, but it was not provided.
