We absolutely loved our stay at Azoka by the River! The authentic schist cottage and peaceful natural surroundings created such a relaxing atmosphere. The house was cozy and had such a warm, welcoming feel. It was exactly as described and had everything we needed, from the kitchen to the bathroom, making our stay easy and comfortable. We especially enjoyed having breakfast outside, walking barefoot, and listening to the sounds of nature; such a privilege for us city people!
It was a pleasure discovering the surrounding villages and enjoying the charm of this beautiful part of Portugal. The area also offers lovely hiking trails, making it a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys nature and exploring the outdoors.
Marta is a truly lovely host: kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. She gave us many wonderful recommendations for local restaurants, river beaches, and places to explore, which we really appreciated. Obrigada, Marta, for making us feel so welcome!
We’re leaving with precious memories and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful getaway surrounded by nature!

A simpatia com que fomos recebidos pela Marta, dona do alojamento.
Depois a casa e o espaço envolvente são magníficos. Casinha acolhedora equipada com tudo, fazendo-nos sentir em casa assim que entramos.
Churrasqueira, zona de espreguiçadeiras e uma ribeira para mergulhar a poucos metros da porta da casa, incrível!!!

Foram uns dias maravilhosos, numa "bolha" de paz e sossego. Umas férias de verdadeiro descanso, com banhos na ribeira, refeições na churrasqueira, passeios a pé e muitas sestas. A malta de 4 patas, a Ponchita e o Xavier, adoraram a ribeira! :) Obrigada e esperamos que o futuro nos traga a oportunidade de voltar!
