Amaya Beach Passikudah

We had an amazing experience at Amaya Beach Paasikudah! The property itself is breathtaking & thoughtfully designed. However, the hotel staff is what made our stay memorable. The warm greeting from Priya at the reception really set the tone for our stay. Rilvan, Thushantha, Ravi, Lahiru, Tharinda, Samantha, Chinthaka and Suji went the extra mile to make us feel welcome during our meals. Even though the hotel was at full capacity and catering to a corporate event at the same time, we received the best service. The chefs provided a versatile and sumptuous spread of local and international cuisine, and we ate to our heart's content. We experienced local cuisine we hadn't eaten in years, which made our stay extra special. The ever attentive Pushpakumar and Thusanth at the pool made sure we had the best experience whenever we were relaxing by the beach. The energetic Dulnith and Samantha at the bar also made us feel well taken care of. We have unfortunately forgotten the name of the young lady who was also part of this wonderful team at the bar. Young Yuhenthran who kept our room in top shape also needs special mention. We had an amazing experience with all of you at Amaya Beach Paasikudah. A BIG Thank You from us. I was really looking forward to my stay in Passikudah and I am so glad I picked Amaya Beach. From the moment I entered, I was impressed with the welcoming reception experience. The team across the hotel were fantastic and provided an exceptional service experience. The restaurant team were super quick with water, fresh plates, finger bowls and the like. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent with a wide range of high quality local and western options. The hotel rooms were large with great views and had high quality linen, towels and amenities. I am really looking forward to coming back and enjoying more time at the resort.

The poolside team were really disinterested in helping guests and seemed a little lazy. This was inconsistent with the rest of the hotel. The hotel should consider hiring masks and snorkels with fins for guests to use. I was surprised this was not available given the coral reef you are able to access from the hotel.

Every part of our stay was amazing, from the initial greeting of a cool towel and refreshments to the amazing staff, the more than comfortable rooms, the food, the pool and the beach literally just there. I went paddle boarding (SUP) and loved the sneaky cocktails....we love love loved our stay!

There was literally nothing about this stay that we did not enjoy....or well maybe eating to much because the darn food was so so good.

Good hotel overall.

Staff is very unpleasant. Specially the front desk. Even though I paid and a booked for late check out through bookings, they were fussing over it and mentioned to me that through bookings we can never confirm late checkout. Sooo many unnecessary questions. Very very unpleasant welcoming at the hotel.
