The room was OK and the bed very comfortable.
The location about ten minutes walk from Monet's House and Garden is very good.
The cafe next door is a bonus and we had a simple evening meal.
Instructions about getting into hotel and room were clear
It had been explained that there wasn't a "front desk". In fact the cafe next door partly fulfills this function.
There is an offer of breakfast at the cafe, but not until 9.30am.
NB There are other cafes open earlier if required

The historical hotel has been updated and redecorated with the bright flowers and designs of Monet and the Impressionists. The patios in back is a work in progress but should be quite lovely by next summer. We never met or saw the owners - check-in was via a code sent earlier as was a guide for our stay. Communication was online and responsive. Lovely flannel comforter and sheets. Shower was one of the best in terms of operating and consistency in heat. Coffee and drink shop with fresh Japanese ‘little plates’ downstairs was a special touch. Convenient location to village galleries, train/bus stops and, of course, the Gardens.
We miss the personal touch in staying somewhere. Bed was too soft.

2 rooms booked - i had a quiet room top loft room with balcony - ok for me as i can stoop and step - would not be ok for less able bodied people. Fabulous location and great restaurants in short walking distance for breakfast.
breakfast and food choices on site were limited. but staff were super helpful in accomodating where they could. parking is restrictive due to busy nature of the street - but we were able to get a blue badge space very close to the property

It was reasonable close to Monet’s garden
No WiFi in room 2 no plug in the sink, so expensive for what you got, had a lot better time 10 years ago when we stayed here

"This location was excellent. It was a short walk to Monet's Gardens. The town of Giverny was great to explore. There were shops, museums, and cafes nearby. Hotel Baudy's dinner menu was good."
