The location of Iriana Inn is superb - in one direction it is 7 minutes walk max to the main square, in the other direction it is 25 minutes walk to the exceptional ruins of Odysseus' palace. The property is basic but clean and comfortable with two floors and two bathrooms, and a swimming pool, though we didn't use it. ! Harry (?) was there to meet us on arrival, and he and his wife are exceptionally friendly and helpful - and also offered a bottle of wine and large packet of crisps on the table! We enjoyed the spaciousness of the property, the wifi was excellent and the views are wonderful. We loved Ithaca, in particular Stavros, which has a decent, very friendly restaurant (which caters for vegetarians) and an exceptional cafe-bar on the square which also does breakfasts and superb cakes throughout the day (and they are generous with the wine, too!). There are other places, but we were tail-end of the season. Aside from Odysseus' palace there is a good little museum halfway there, and a very pleasant beach which is walkable down the steep hill (and has a nudist section at the far end...)
Nothing - we wish we could have stayed longer.

The apartment was convenient, very spacious, and quiet. The location is close to a lively area, just a few minutes’ walk from the center of the village where you can find restaurants, cafes and markets. The nearest beach is only a 4-5 minute drive away and you can easily explore the island from there - even the furthest accessible point by car is less than an hour away.
What impressed us the most was the owner’s hospitality. He was very friendly, gave us useful recommendations for places to visit, and was always happy to help. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place.

The host was very helpful. The property is located in countryside a few minutes walk from Stavros village which has several taverns and is a good place to enjoy an evening.
The room was basic and tired however we enjoyed its relaxed location and ease of walking to Stavros village.
