The hotel is located on the other side of the military air base, but it is the total opposite. Quiet and comfortable. A large park area and a spa nearby. This is a former monastery or cloister which gives it an historic look. But inside it is quite modern, especially the restaurant/bar area. It is a conference hotel, and you see lots of meeting rooms. But it has a totally different atmosphere. Quiet, no loud groups or people. An enjoyable stay
They had to do some construction work here to make it into a hotel. Long and wide corridors and the elevators are a bit at non-logical spots. However, each floor has a large and well-stocked coffee corner with many choices and nice sweets.
The room was very spacious and comfortable. Although we were at the street side, we had a good sleep. Good, dark curtains.
The 12 pm checkout on the weekend was a great bonus (as our reservation told us 9:30). Al staff was help- and cheerful. We had a very nice experience taking diner in the restaurant. Large parking lot, electricity poles for cars and bicycles. Options for everybody
Room not too warm. Unfortunately, the shower was also not too hot (matter of taste). Bathroom is basic and an extra (second) chair in the room would have been nice. But there is space enough around for reading and relaxing.

There was an odd smell in the little bathroom. As far as I could determine it came from drain.

Great location (right next to Thermen Soesterberg), beautiful historic monastery with interesting Mission Africa stories and exhibition. Fast and no-fuss check-in and check-out, amazing breakfast restaurant with good variety.
The noise isolation is a total miss in this hotel, we heard loud and clear the guests above us and the housekeeping team, both at night and early morning, which really disturbed our sleep.
The toilet and bathroom is the tiniest we've ever been to.
The room looks old with strange paintings and poorly fitted front door. The pillows are quite hard to sleep on with a very small single blanket.
