Location is great 5 minutes walk from the main JR station and city trams, with its own internal entry onto a large shopping mall. Rooms were large for Japan and well appointed, big bathroom with full size bath, coffee machine. Beds comfortable. Nice retro ambiance to public areas and old fashioned full and helpful service from staff. Fast lifts.
Reminded me of Japan 20 years ago which was a good thing to me but may appear a bit dated to others.

Very friendly & pro-active staff. We arrived early in the day and had to store our bags with the hotel. The staff in charge of baggage storage was very alert & ready with the tags even before we asked about luggage storage. He was also very pleasant & friendly in his demeanour. Because of him, we would have scored the hotel 11 out of 10 (if we could)!
Nothing. But a microwave oven in the room would have been great

Next to the mall and train station.
The lobby was nice. But the room was dated and the toilet was filled with mould, including the bathtub, wall and ceiling. Two room we had, the condition was the same. The wooden cabinet door was broken also. The bed spring gave out sound whenever you turn.
