Fabulous location near station and set in beautiful countryside, also essy access to both Koyasan and Osaka. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent service and presentation of kaiseki cuisine. Gary was particularly knowledgeable about thd locsl.srra dnd history and had helpful tips for travel to Koyasan and Osaka KIX airport. Dining room was exquisitely beautful.
Female onsen needs some cleaning. Hairdryer lacks power.

The location was very peaceful. It was very close to the train station; however, we took a taxi there from the Osaka airport (which was expensive but we did not want the hassle and wanted to get their quickly). We stored our luggage at the airport and only needed a change of clothes for the next day. They provided the yukata, which we wore the entire time and a toothbrush etc. We had very large suitcases because we were traveling for a long time. It would have been awkward to have the big suitcases because we did not see an elevator (our room was on the second floor), and the suitcase would have damaged the fragile tatami mat floors. Going back to the airport we took the train, which was very easy. The grounds were peaceful, and we took a walk around despite the light rain, but they let us use special shoes to keep our feet dry. Dinner served in our room was very good, beautiful, and diverse. We had a lovely traditional breakfast in the breakfast room. We used the onsen late at night because we preferred privacy, and we were glad that it was open late. The experience gave us a moment to slow-down, relax, and have a true Japanese experience.
The futons on the floor were a bit hard for my back. I had to put a comforter under to provide more cushion. But it was fun to sleep on for one night.

Amazing location, right by the train, less than an hour from Osaka, but with a remote feeling. After a week of very city-heavy travel, this was a much needed break. Vegan meals were incredible and they are open to tattoos in the onsen if you can try to go when no one else is there, which was not hard for me to do.
