Beautiful hotel with great restaurant venues inside, lovely rooms and lighting. Comfortable and modern, close to Howard Smith wharves.
Staff service was great, went the extra mile for us.
Location isn’t great, Fortitude Valley has a fair few sketchy people hanging around on the street. But the hotel itself felt very safe and it was further away from the worst section.

The 2nd bed for kids was quite a small trundle, however was okay for my 7yo.

The coast is sublime, it’s like a postcard. The resort has a lot of activities, the food is good and not too expensive for a 5 stars hotel
We spent 2 weeks in the resort. The first week was more complicated than the second. Our room was not clean when we arrived, we asked to change and after talking with many people we finally got a better room which was also cleaner. Housekeeping kept forgetting stuff: sometimes a towel, coffee refill, water, bathrobe, so we had to call each time to finally have them. We also used a lot room service for dinner because we had a baby and despite asking to keep it down, every time the person arrived with the food, they made so much noise and woke up our baby. Second week things didn’t improve, we just adapted and changed our way of doing.

Was very clean to the rest of Fiji, staff were amazing.
It was very expensive, and there were not many options close by within walking distance, such as shops or other places to visit like takeaway food options. Once you’re there, you’re pretty much stuck, as everything else requires travelling some distance.
Also, the lady at the Rosie Travel store was extremely rude and unhelpful. My advice would be to book your own activities rather than going through the travel desk.
