About this house rental
Quiet lake front home in an amenity-filled community. And you're only minutes from the allure of DE and MD beaches, boardwalk, shopping and restaurants. Relax on the sun porch with your morning coffee while enjoying the lake view, then head just 2.5 miles up the road to the beach. When you return home you can wash the sand away in the roomy outdoor shower, squeeze in a walk or game of tennis before dinner, and spend the evening watching movies with family on the HDTV. Mallard Lakes is a great place to relax at a quiet get-away spot, or if you wish, all of the activities of an ocean resort are there to enjoy, too!

This is the second time we have stayed at Betsy’s place. We always loved Mallard lakes but her unit is beautiful and the kids really loved when the geese walking by. Love that she has a coffee maker and air fryer we were able to eat in a couple nights. Also, we got to see fire works on the 4th. Betsy is a great communicator as well, my family and I really enjoyed our stay!

Mom's Place has become our favorite place to stay in Fenwick Island. It is so comfortable and familiar to our family. The home is fully stocked, located near the beaches, restaurants, shopping, etc. We enjoy MP and highly recommend to anyone! Thanks again for a great stay!

It was a nice neighborhood and spacious unit - close to the beach - which we loved! But the unit desperately needs updating and better cleaning practices in place.
The couches and a lot of the other furniture must be from the 90’s. Glass tables and trinkets everywhere which is a nightmare for a family with kids. We packed our own linens/sheets but the blankets on the beds do not appear to be professionally laundered between visitors and I’m just not ok with that - especially during a viral pandemic!
Overall, we just don’t feel the unit was cleaned properly prior to our stay. There were hairs in the bathroom and throughout the unit on the floors.
The sunroom felt dirty and outdated.
The WiFi connection was poor even after plugging in the password.
The bikes locked up out front were rusted and not usable.
We made the best of our trip and would return to the neighborhood but not this unit. It needs a lot of work which I imagine would be pretty costly. If the owner can’t focus on updating the unit and replacing old furniture please hire a better housekeeper to get the unit in top notch shape.
