Turtle Beach Resort

We always love staying at turtle beach resort. As a parent it’s great with the splash zone for the kids and mini golf and cinema and games room for the kids.

The only think I’d have to say that lets the score go down is that the bathrooms need to get a renovation. We had shower doors that fall off the hinges when sliding them across and no exhaust fans in any bathrooms.

The location and having the tram right at the front that goes directly to surfers was amazing. The pools were clean and so many that it was never crowded and the splash park was super fun. Rooms were big and spacious plenty of room for my ex and our kids to have our own rooms while co parenting on holiday together without being too much.

I didnt like that booking.com advertised that there was an activity room without mentioning it costs 30 dollars. I hyped up my kids about a play room that we can go into when we are bored or over the pool to find out when there it is a kids club and only at certain times and was 30 dollars and I think that was per child which is insane! That really annoyed me as it was one of the main reasons we chose turtle beach resort. I didnt like that the golf course around the place also cost, ive stayed at caravan parks with put putt courses that are free you just hire the stuff to play so they have your details should you decide to steal it or lose it. The worst part was no elevators! Carting a family of 5s worth of stuff up and down stairs was a nightmare and we also had a double pram that we took when out and about and having to constantly bring that up and down was horrendous. Cafe was okay but 14 bucks for a small bowl of fries is actually just a joke. Issues we could have bought up to staff but didnt because it disnt bother us enough and we spent most of our days out and about: The wifi didnt work The DVD player was missing a hdmi cord to watch DVDs The bedroom remote had no batteries and the loungeroom remote was screwed shut so we couldnt swap them If you forget a towl they charge 15 bucks per towel to hire which is also insane and im not sure how long you get it is it daily or whole stay. (We had friends stay here who gave us a heads up so we were safe) Only con that i would love addressed from the property; Our fridge broke a few days in, we lost about 180ish bucks worth of food as we did a big shop to save money, they replaced the fridge completely in a matter of hours which was great but no offer to compensate the food we lost due to their fault. That was disappointing

Best location to stay with kids. So much to do. We stayed as a large family group, there are many communal locations to meet/ hang out, cook BBQs, the kids were endlessly entertained. Accommodation had everything we needed for our age range of 8 months old to 85 years old. Public transport is right out the front but easy parking on site as well.

Very dated and they do like to charge for a lot - make the most out of parents having to pay things
