The guesthouse is family-run and it's clear that the family have gone to a lot of trouble to ensure that the guest experience is good. Although parking in the grounds was very limited, there was a large, free public car park nearby. I had a good-sized room and, although the bathroom was small, it was functional. Breakfast was quite good.
I could not get the TV in my room to work. I sought advice from the proprietor, who advised me to select a channel number rather than use the on/off switch; but this did not work either. Clear guest information in the room might have helped.

Clean, comfortable room with all necessary amenities. Welcoming staff. Excellent location in Roscommon town with ample free parking. Very fair rate.
Not much to dislike.

Staying in Roscommon was a mistake. It was very dull for us as tourists. The hotel was old and the room was dated and not that comfortable.
The rooms could have been much more modern , light and inviting.
