The managers were lovely, no English but google translate was fine. The room was clean. Bikes were locked securely inside the garage.
The bed was rock hard. We struggled to get food nearby, it’s clearly off the tourist track so interpreting food and communicating was difficult. We wish we’d stayed in Halong City for our transition as we headed into the mountains on bikes. Our first room reeked of cigarette smoke, the second room had an ashtray but didn’t smell too bad. I thought the location would be beautiful like Halong but it was really not.
