Kiama Townhouse

I'd like a refund for the cleaning fee + pay for cleaning it

Great location, decent sized fridge

I can't put into words how filthy this place was (and mostly still is), I genuinely believe the place hasn't been cleaned since the last review, which i believe was in March last year. They didn't even bother cleaning it before we arrived. I get the area is more susceptible to bugs and wildlife, but there shouldn't be webs that have collected dust with spiders on them in every 2nd corner of the house (wish I was exaggating). It was nice to open the bathroom to 3 spiders having a bath together. I'm not sure if they were dead spiders, nests, or what, but the kitchen light and bathroom skylight were full of something interesting. We left the place cleaner than we got it, probably because a spider crawled into my bag and couldn't get it back out (could be worse, my mate got one in his pants). There were webs over the knife block in the kitchen and half the amenities. Speaking of the kitchen, the stovetop was so dusty it would've started a fire if i used it and it's always nice to open cupboards to see what's in them and it's nothing but dead cockroaches, how digusting. The room with the bunkbed had mould all over the blinds, which if you wanted to move the blinds away from the window to get fresh air you couldn't, as they go to the side you open the window from, meaning you have to touch the mouldy blinds to open the window and you can't actually get fresh air as it just goes on the blinds. Had to kill a few live cockroaches, too. For a place that threatens to fine $500 if something isn't clean like the bbq we have to clean the bbq ourselves just for a bunch of cockroaches to come out when we turned it on, so I wouldn't even say we payed for a bbq, quite honestly I should be payed the $500 or whatever cleaning fee you charge. I think I could leave my house, which is in the bush unattended for a few months and it would be in better condition than what this place is.

Great central location, lovely private patio and comfy loungeroom

We loved the back garden patio area when it catches the sun. I loved having a bath for a nice soak after the beach. The couch and cushions and tv area was lovely and comfy.

The blinds in the bedrooms didn't really block out much light, so we were woken quite early most mornings from the brightness of the room/sunlight.

The property was exactly as described, clean and we'll furnished.

I regard Netflix, Austar etc an essential to a rental property now. I feel with the rates we are paying it should be part of what the property offers. Also the steep driveway could be a problem for older people. Could there also be more than one tea towel and more than one dish washing sachet. This should be considered an essential.
