About this villa rental
Beautifull villa, situated in Mondello, a small beautiful village only 5 minutes from the beaches, and 15 min. to Palermo center.
the villa has a very large garden and front yard with palms and typical Mediterranean threes. There is also a swimming pool that is for private use of the villa only all year 12 mt. x 7 m
Quiet for relaxing however near Palermo town, knows for its most important monuments, churches, theaters and buildings that witness the Arabian, Norman, French and Romain cultures.
The villa is composed by 2 floors. the first floor is a very large living room of 140 sq m.
A very spacious dining room and a kitchen. there is also a restroom with a shower included.
On the second floor there are two bed rooms, one of which is very big a spacious and its has own large private bathroom included. the second bedroom is surely comfortable for two people. there is a nice bathroom on this floor with a shower included.
The style of the entire house is ancient and the furniture are all Sicilian.
All the bed sheets are of excellent fabric quality, Frette, a luxory Italian brand.
The cost included a services of cleaning 2 times a week.
If you arrive with a flight in Palermo airport it is only 15 min. ride to the villa.
You may rent a car or simply take a taxi.

We had the most lovely stay in Mondello. Monica and Marco were lovely hosts, and opened their home up for our family. The rooms were beautiful, the pool is lovely, but the hospitality was the best. I would highly recommend staying at their beautiful home.

Overall we had a very pleasent stay despite the heat wave - for this the wonderfull big pool was a Nice rescue. The villa is very nice, with good space, comfort, In a quiet area and guarded by the calm House dog - though with some distance to the Beach - but with a lovely garden resteaurent just around the corner.

Great Villa- well equipped - quiet location.
Wifi awful and Pool needs regular cleaning (daily). Monica lovely as was her dog Baloo. Local village/town has everything you need and the beach was about 20 mins walk .

The apartment appeared clean at first glance, but it had only been superficially cleaned. There was noticeable dust under the beds, under the armchairs, and on the bathroom shelves, so overall cleanliness was only moderate.
During our five-day stay, the towels were never changed and the apartment was not cleaned at all. There was also no drying rack, which made it difficult to dry towels and swimsuits.
The living room, which also serves as a sofa-bed area, has large floor-to-ceiling windows, but there are no curtains or blinds, so there is no privacy. In the morning, the gardener could see directly into the apartment, and the exterior lights stayed on all night, making the room very bright and affecting sleep.
Breakfast was also disappointing, as many items, especially fruit, had run out by the time we arrived and were not replenished. Guests who came later had much less choice. We also found it unfair that the hosts applied different rules to guests who booked directly than to those who booked through Expendia
It is also stated that this is an apartment for 6 people, but that seems unrealistic, as there are not enough beds and only three chairs at the dining table.
Overall, the apartment has potential, but the cleanliness, lack of basic amenities, poor privacy, breakfast service, and inconsistent treatment of guests made our stay less enjoyable than expected. I would not recommend this property.
