We did not meet the host. We were eventually met by an emisary who handed the keys and did a brief intro. All correspondence with management (timely) was via messages. NO INTRUCTIONS were provided for returning the keys. This was extremely stressful. My son had to jump over the fence to drop off the keys after he took the car out of the garage, since the buttons were not operational. It was an adventure no one wants to experience before the stress of driving back to airport. We were not advised that tea/coffee/milk/sugar/salt/pepper/qtips/flossing tape etc. were not provided, as were last year, in Italy, for example, or are customary in North America. Overall a good experience.

Spaciousness, amenities including pool, location, and management company communication.
After 3 weeks on the road this was a perfect stay and reset for our family. Much like home, it was nice to have space, enjoy comfy beds, cook meals, iron clothes and watch some of our favourite TV shows together.
Location was brilliant to see all the main sites of Cascais, to walk to the train station, to hire scooters to explore a little further and to see the region.
Many thanks to the owners for sharing their wonderful property, and to the management company.

Location was excellent and kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Apartment is very spacious. Garden area and plunge pool nice, wine and snacks on arrival nice touch.
Presentation poor. Walls throughout were scuffed and marked in places, and sofa was very badly stained as were some of the scatter cushions. Some light switches only worked intermittently. While the plunge pool and garden area were very nice there were no sun loungers, only a small table and 4 rather grubby plastic chairs. Overall we found the accommodation overpriced for what we got. We had travelled from Porto where we stayed in an apartment of equal size and in an equally premium location which cost 330 euros less but was immaculate. It also had a beautiful communal pool, sauna and gym at no extra cost. There was daily cleaning, linen changed every 3 days and a continental breakfast delivered to your door every morning. I appreciate it may be difficult to maintain a property if it is rented continuously, but when you pay premium prices, you expect a premium property.
