This hotel is in a lovely position with a big mall below it. Nice quiet pool and good food options nearby. The rooms are spacious and have good amenities. The staff are friendly and helpful but there is a but - see what I didn’t like.
One of our party knocked their leg against a planter near the pool - the planter was broken, so it caused a very deep gash in their leg. The hotel said they would cover everything to get it treated. Their first aid team came and disinfected the wound and dressed it. Then the team sent us to a nearby pharmacy to get dressings etc. We decided that the wound needed to be properly cleaned etc so I asked the hotel to get us transport to the ER. They said no car was available but would get a taxi and a member of staff would come with us to explain everything. All of this happened but I had to pay for the taxi! The wait to see a medical professional was more than 6 hours- so we went to another pharmacy for better supplies. Everything paid for by me. The next day, the planter had been repaired. There was no apology from the hotel management, no offer to reimburse me for all the costs and no goodwill gesture. So that for me ruined our whole stay. Accidents happen but how it is dealt with is key. Side note: we left the next day and at Cebu airport there is a medical room - we asked them to check the wound, which they did. They treated it and re-dressed it - all for free and done within 10 minutes!!

We booked a 1-br apartment for my husband and myself, and a studio for my parents for 4 nights. Breakfast was lovely at Abaca, choices changed everyday :) Staff were all very accommodating. Pool is wonderful but we weren’t able to use it as we were mostly out of the hotel. The shower area is excellent, the airconditioning works well, water is more than enough for our entire stay.
Nothing. Would recommend this place to everyone!
