Pretty terrible for reasons stated above . I have requested a refund twice but have not had a respon

Breakfast bar consisted of a table on the landing . There wasn’t even a cup or mug to make tea in

Pretty much everything. The place smelled of mould especially the bedroom. Opening the seized velux directly over the bed helped airing the room. The mirror light didnt work in the bathroom, the shower tray had a nasty brown stain and the shower taps were “back to front” eventually supplying hot water. The landing floor was loose and uneven. The biggest issue though was the actual physical fight that happened between the hosts two sons upstairs while we were in our room. Shouting , banging off walls , slamming doors etc. The host disappeared leaving the two sons to carry on the hostilities. Eventually my partner managed to bring peace by calming down one of the boys by talking to him and making him toast. Apparently the hosts kids aren’t too happy being turfed out of their rooms for paying guests. Steer well clear of this place

“Disappointing stay – cleanliness and noise issues”

The host was friendly and welcoming when we checked in around 7 PM. The property was reasonably priced for the area

Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. The cleanliness was not up to an acceptable standard. The sheets did not appear fresh, the bathroom had an unpleasant smell, and the shower was leaking. The other shared areas of the house, including the living room, were also very dirty and messy. We did not feel comfortable spending any time there and preferred to stay in our room. There was only one toilet roll provided, with no shampoo or conditioner and no bin in the room. The kettle, toaster and other kitchen facilities were also visibly dirty, so we did not feel comfortable using them. The property was also quite noisy while we were in our room. In the morning, we were woken by someone in the house screaming very loudly and using abusive language towards another person. This was extremely uncomfortable and made us leave as soon as possible. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel this one was necessary. I also work in hospitality myself, so I understand the standards that guests should reasonably expect, and unfortunately, this stay fell well below those standards. Overall, although the price was reasonable, the accommodation was not worth it based on our experience. We also felt that the reviews were misleading and did not accurately reflect the condition and experience we encountered.

Great stay

The room was very large and tidy. The shower head was slightly leaking and we had spoken to the owner and she fixed it that day. The owners were lovely and very helpful.

Very friendly host and grateful for some breakfast we did not expect.

Great location. Large room. Cereal and toast included for breakfast. Comfy bed. Friendly host.

No kettle in room. The landing was good for the fridge and toaster but not for sitting and eating. The curtains were nice but the blind over the bed didn't work and was disgusting. Bed sheets were only suitable as drop sheets. Shower needed a thorough clean. Floor needed sweeping.
