As we had hired a rental vehicle to explore the North Chiang Saen Lake which the property is adjacent from supplies lovely sunset views. Quiet and relaxing well kept and maintained grounds. Although quiet season meant we almost had the resort to ourselves. Pool is small but deep, clean and refreshing. Villa with older traditional mixed styling great wifi and water pressure/ temperatures. Peacocks, pussy cats and golden puppy dog visitors. Tinkering of buffalo bells in the mornings. A simple but adequate select breakfast menu which I highly recommended the delicious shrimp and rice soup and also tried the western breakfast both hit the spot. Owner bakes fresh bread daily and was scrumptious. We stayed for two nights and both an hour's drive to Chiang Rai in one direction or 30 minutes upto Golden Triangle and a further 30mins to Mae Sai bordering Myanmar. Local Saturday market was also great experience. Staff and owner very welcoming. Convenient location to self explore this part of Thailand.thank you for a wonderful memorable stay. Would recommended.
Need a more well stocked bar on site including cocktails lol so we had to BYO but not a deal breaker. Pillows are a bit hard for us but used to Thai bedding.

Peaceful, friendly, comfortable. Freshly baked bread at breakfast was a surprise. Exceptional value. Owner restores vintage motorcycles as a hobby (for those interested in vintage motorcycles). No hesitation in going back.

The grounds of the hotel are lovely with nice trees and plants which are well maintained. The bungalows are all arranged so you have private space outside. Ours looked onto the lake so we could watch the birds from the balcony. Breakfast was good, the highlight being the homemade bread and freshly ground coffee.
You have to arrange your meals the day before which didn't really work for us as we weren't sure what time we would be back so we couldn't use the restaurant as much as we'd like.
