We had a lovely stay, apartment v clean tidy n comfortable.

Made our own breakfast,kitchen well equipped, perfect location for walking rougey and down to beach to see the surfing, walking distance to restaurants, pubs and hotels to dance the night away.

Would like to have been able to drive into the car park at the apartment.

Location was perfect

I very rarely leave negative reviews because I know things can go wrong, but I honestly felt I had to on this occasion. Before our stay, I asked if I could cancel due to a genuine family emergency. Unfortunately, this was declined. The host did offer to let me rebook for another date, which I appreciated, but that simply wasn't an option for me. I work in healthcare and couldn't book another family holiday over the summer. The location is absolutely perfect and is by far the biggest positive. Everything is within walking distance and it's ideal for families. The bottle of Prosecco left for us was also a lovely touch and was appreciated. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the apartment was really disappointing. There was a strong urine smell in the bathroom, visible urine around the base of the toilet, dust throughout the apartment, and the bath had grime around it. I ended up cleaning the bath myself with bleach before any of us used it because I didn't feel comfortable otherwise. It wasn't the start to our family holiday that we'd hoped for. What upset me the most, though, was the way my concerns were handled. After I raised the cleanliness issues, I felt the host was more interested in defending the property than acknowledging the problems. I felt I was being accused of looking for faults because I'd previously asked to cancel. It was even suggested that I'd been pulling furniture out to find issues, which simply isn't true. I didn't move furniture or go looking for problems – everything I reported was noticed during normal use of the apartment. As someone who very rarely complains, I found this really upsetting and felt it was an attack on my character. It's such a shame because this apartment has so much potential. The location genuinely couldn't be better, but the poor standard of cleanliness and the way my concerns were dealt with sadly spoiled what should have been a lovely family break.

Extremely disappointing and expensive. Avoid!!

Location was very good. Close to beach and town centre.

The apartment was dirty. Ice cream wrapper left in bedroom drawer with chocolate remains. Sink in kitchen was filthy. Food remains under the couch. Food stains on TV screen. Table tops not wiped down. Toaster had not been cleaned in an age. Informed owner of state of apartment, he returned with a curt response that we could check out and have a refund. We were not in a position to do so. We had our son with us who is autistic and had travelled up from Kildare. Apartment complex is rough and certainly does not reflect the price.

The location

It was cooled dirty man under wear under the bed and sock red liquid on kitchen press pizza trays in cooker not washed cleaners not doing there job giving you bad reports the apartment was lovely for my family would stay again if cleaned properly sorry but had to say how I felt
