Beautiful and quiet property, nice furniture, decorated with Mayan and natural wood and tile. Loved the inside garden breakfast area with the sun streaming in and all the plants. Bed was super comfortable, had the windows open with fresh cool air. Breakfast was lovely with different options. They also did a load of our laundry for a reasonable cost, which was a nice surprise touch. The cobblestone street getting to Terramaya is quite steep. We walked down to the center but took a tuk tuk ride up for 20 Lempira per person.
The WiFi barely worked. The room is a bit spartan such as not having a hot water kettle and some coffee/tea. There’s an “interesting” architectural detail of note: the wall between the bedroom and the bathroom is an 8 foot wall, then the wall stops and is OPEN up to the vaulted ceiling. What’s the matter with that? Well, it’s like not having a wall—you can hear, smell everything, and the bathroom light shines into the bedroom area.

Nice building from 2010. Some books on the area. Stayed in room # 3 for 4 nights. Kitchen help put out a nice breakfast each day. Good pancakes. Good housekeeping
Huge drama upon arrival. Room I requested not available, Had to settle fora verry hot noisy room. # 1-4 noisy and afternoon heat. #5-6 quiet but cook in the morning. AC available but may be no town electricity. Generator on property but reluctance to turn it on. Very noisy machine in back yard. Big conflict with woman in charge. Owners traveling out of the country and not available, What an unwelcoming arrival for us. Bathroom walls do not go up to ceiling No privacy. Breakfast served on hot east facing terrace..
