An exceptional room with a wonderfully comfortable bed and luxurious bedding. Breakfast was generous and catered for all tastes. The dinner menu was interesting, varied and reasonably priced.
The main entrance staircase is rather narrow and steep, reminding us of the stairs we climbed in France. Fortunately, there is a more accessible staircase at the back, so do ask about it. The staff, however, were exceptionally helpful and accommodating.

The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is great as it central and there is safe parking. Very cute cats roaming the gardens which are beautiful.
I did not find the hotel very child friendly - there are 2 food items on the menu for kids which really is minimal. We also could not watch the rugby in the bar as the locals complained about kids in the bar - which is interesting as the bar has a kids menu. We had to watch in the conference room which was cold and no atmosphere at all. I would have thought paying guests would get priority over locals but this was not the case. There is no communal area that is actually kid friendly which is not ideal.
