Very nice apartment, with all the amenities you would need and an excellent location

Worst stay ever: mould, filth, rude host and deposit never returned!

Avoid at all cost!! 200€ deposit has still not been returned almost 2 months after our stay. The apartment is smelly from humidity, with visible mould and bugs (see photos). The owner is extremely rude and screamed at me on the phone. Here’s my whole experience: I informed the property multiple times in advance in writing that I would be travelling with 2 kids and received verbal OK by phone. On arrival only 1 bed was ready. The sofa bed was not prepared for kids, so we started opening it just to see that it was falling apart and unstable, filthy with breadcrumbs and had a disgusting, dirty duvet inside which I couldn’t even put into its cover because the one provided was too small. The towels were worn out and with hair. I called the host but they were not able to solve it the same day, so I had to go and buy some new bedding. I informed Booking.com about the issue and that we couldn’t stay in such a filthy and smelly apartment with kids (one has asthma so the mould is making her condition worse) so the next morning the host offered us to leave and get a refund for the nights not used. We really appreciated it and booked another apartment through Booking for the next day and informed the host the same morning. They failed to respond for the whole day. When they finally replied in the evening they claimed it was “too late” to leave and we will not get the refund! I was trying to contact them since they were still able to re-sell the remaining 8 nights, but the owner was very rude and aggressive on the phone, shouting “you will get no refund, you understand?”. We obviously left the next morning as we already had booked the other apartment on booking. The host never responded again to any communication attempts and of course we did not get the refund nor the €200 deposit back since they claimed we were 4 people instead of 2 (to which they agreed!). Booking.com is assisting, but this situation has caused significant stress and wasted time.

Poor communication from hosts, complicated self check in and slow response from host, very late check in, and very early check out, without exception.

The location and proximity to the railway station and town .

The apartment was dark it was shabby there is no excuse for grey washed out towels cracked and chipped cups. Wallpaper peeling off, what looked like blood on wall.Tired apartment decor and furnishings.
