The estate was lovely. The room was not really in line with a country estate but we were prepared for this having read previous reviews-the room was therefore probably nicer than we expected!

Loved location and grounds
Not much to not like

Breakfast offered a good selection of fruit, cereal and cooked food. The room was comfortable and big enough for me, I booked a double but travel alone, might be a bit cosy for a couple though.
If I was a couple I would say the bed could be bigger. There is an outside walk to breakfast which is inconvenient if ut's raining

Beautiful grounds , reception nice and welcoming . Room basic but ok but hadn’t been sufficiently cleaned.
One member of staff saw us arriving for breakfast - scurried off ! I had to find someone to ask what to do for breakfast - absolutely no one around - run out of croissants but no one to ask . Whole duration of breakfast no member of staff visible till the end to take plates away .
