Owener was helpful and accomodative.
Great settings.
The stairs are my own problem. Since I got the 2nd floor ensuite room, going up and down for the kitchen was my own issue.

Room was quite big & honestly had everything I needed. Only thing I found frustrating was the blinds the slots kept falling of & leaving the window view open/ or light in
Front door is hard to lock
Some lamps with no light bulbs

The check in/out was super easy!
The room (and kitchen) were nice and clean and it was great to have use of such a wide range of plates, cups and glasses.
I found the bed to be very comfortable. The mattress was very firm, which is perfect for me, however my partner struggled a little more with this, so worth noting if you aren't keen on firm mattresses. It was also nice to have proper solid pillows!
With the window open, the room was lovely and cool at night (although there was a dog nearby that kept yapping throughout the night, but that's in no way anything the host can control)
The host had excellent communication throughout.
Compared to prices of other locations, it was excellent value for money.
The walls, stairs and floors are very thin and creaky, and the doors make a terrible noise when being opened and closed.
*I cannot stress enough HOW LOUD the doors/floors are*
We were very unlucky to have an incredibly inconsiderate guest above us, stomping across the floor and slamming doors all hours of the night (I think 4:30am they finally stopped). This is in no way the fault of the host, but does unfortunately mean we only managed about 3 hours sleep a night (which isn't great as we were there for four nights!)
Also worth noting the shower is quite powerful, but is angled up quite high, so will flood the bathroom at full power. I used it at half power and it was absolutely fine.

John the host picked up swiftly about my concern, though he confused me with another guest and was a bit shirty at first.
Sunny and spacious, and good blackouts on windows. Heating was on and nice to have the extra electric heater. Sanitary-ware was clean and the bedroom was dust-free and clean.
I note that the score has dropped from 8.6 Fabulous when I booked to 8.1 Very good.
Not sure how the Fabulous was applied which is the reason for my scores. Bathroom smelt of damp, the flooring is lifting in place, and the bedclothes were damp ie unaired on the first night, not sure why as the room is sunny.
Someone kept leaving the front door on the latch which was concerning especially late at night - they were obviously letting someone in who had no access to a key.
There is little to no soundproofing so other guests can be clearly heard. Fortunately I had earplugs with me so the banging door due to absent guest obvs leaving a window open was manageable.
Windows not soundproofed - at the weekend traffic not so bad I suppose but I could hear conversations on the street
