We loved our stay at Sungreen Cottages! We were only there 2 nights (and wished it was longer!) and we stayed in both the deluxe double room and chalet tree house. They were both comfortable and clean and fantastic! But we really loved the tree house! The pool is the best we have had in Sri Lanka and we made good use of it. Pramoth and his family are so welcoming and friendly and help you in whatever way they can. All.of the recommendations that Pramoth gave us were spot on. The breakfast is also delicious and plentiful - we didn't even eat again until dinner! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Friendly staff, super local, authentic little treehouse style room, it was very simple but had everything we needed. Clean and functional. Really good value. They offer a breakfast option too which was homemade and good.

We had such a lovely, authentic stay at Sungreen Cottages. A lovely, warm welcome from Pramoth and his family. The cabin on stilts was great and had all the amenities needed from excellent air con to a hairdryer. A tuktuk on site driven by his brother was great way for us to get around for a very good price. They organised our itinerary and we went to Dambulla cave temple, out for dinner on our first day. They organised a 5am pick up for us to climb Pidurangala rock and see the beautiful, magnificent sunrise. Also, organised by them was a safari to Hurulu where we saw loads of elephants. We had a tasty, traditional breakfast. An on-site swimming pool, sun loungers and a hammock are great ways to relax. Waking up to the sounds of nature was wonderful. It is lovely to see a beautiful, kind family being able to grow their business (an earlier review said about building work - yes they are building a new cabin - they are the quietist builders ever!) A big thank you for making our visit to Sigiriya so memorable!

Nice new pool and location was spot on for climbing the rocks.
Pictures weren't a fair reflection of the site. Lots of building work going on but should be beautiful once completed.
